Kinney Bungalow | Narragansett, RI

Jess and David had a micro-wedding before they were even a thing. How cool is that? They married in Copenhagen, Denmark (yes, even more cool!) and then hopped over the Atlantic to celebrate again with even more family and friends at Kinney Bungalow at Sunset Farms in Narragansett.

Jess, a true Ravenclaw, chose blue as her wedding color. I loved the pop of color on the belt of her wedding dress! It’s also the first short wedding dress I’ve photographed! I absolutely love the retro flair of it, especially paired with her fascinator bridal veil.

I have a soft spot for Kinney Bungalow and I was really excited to finally get to photograph there. My own wedding was there in 2012! Jess and David even took photos on the same swing that my husband and I did! It was definitely interesting being on the other side of the camera at this venue. There are so many features in such a small space that it really makes for a variety of images and options. Especially when there was a big rainstorm recently and giant puddles! I love a good puddle for some reflection photography. It made a really amazing sky even more amazing!

Funny Story

Near the end of the night, Jess and David came outside with me to do a really neat backlit silhouette photo. I was editing this wedding and in particular this photo when I realized that the graphics card on my computer had fried! It is such an intense black and it showed up on my monitor as the black and green pixelated mess!! I hadn’t realized until then that the card needed to be replaced and I was so thankful that I was able to quickly replace my computer and that Jess and David were okay with a small delay. It is always so crazy running your own business, but I have such great and understanding clients.
