Backyard Wedding | Coventry, RI

Taylor and Jacob live on a beautiful woodland property in Coventry, RI and it made for a perfect wedding venue! There is so much meaning for a couple when they can have their wedding right at their hope in a place that they love.

Their wedding was full of DIY details! Taylor picked all of the ferns for their bouquets and boutonnières. Jacob made all of the benches that their wedding guests sat on for the ceremony. All of the table decorations were made by them and the cake was made by Jacob’s sister!

During cocktail hour there were backyard games, including Jenga which epically went on for almost 30 minutes during a nail-biting game. It drew the attention of half the wedding guests because no one could believe it was still standing! Even better is when it finally fell it was like watching it fall in slow motion. It was fantastic.

B&M catering hit it out of the park with their backyard barbecue menu. Their mac and cheese is one of my favorites. Also, why doesn’t every wedding have mac and cheese? It’s one of my top 3 favorite foods! A lot of couples don’t know this but often we (vendors) are fed dry chicken, if at all! B &M always has taken good care of its couples, guests, and vendors.

After dinner and the sun had set, guests were able to dance their hearts out, under the stars on their homemade dance floor. DJ Tommy DEE did a great job keeping the dance floor full and everyone moving. You’d never know we were in a backyard in Coventry and not in a club dancing!
