Newport Engagement

Charles proposed to Chelsea in Newport so it only made sense to have a Newport Engagement shoot!

We started the afternoon in the spot where Charles first proposed and then we headed over to one of my favorite spots, 40 Steps, on the Cliff Walk. It was definitely a cool day for March but you’d never know it by the amount of fun these two had!

I’ve known Chelsea for about 2 years now. I had the pleasure of photographing her sister’s wedding at the Glen Manor House. When she messaged me back in November saying she was engaged and asked if I was available I was over the moon! Bailey and PM’s wedding was one of my favorites and I’m sure that Chelsea and Charles will have a wedding just as fun!

I was really happy that they decided to bring their puppy along for the engagement shoot too. I think I should make that a requirement. If you have a pup, they need to come! I can’t have a puppy because my oldest son is sensitive to their saliva so I always indulge in puppy love when I get the chance.

While cuddled up on the 40 Steps, they pinky swore that they would come back during the next epidemic because it was so peaceful and not crowded. Then we decided that they needed to pretend that they were in a 90’s rock band and needed a cover for their album!

I was also really happy that I got to include Charle’s Mini Cooper into their shoot. He was so shy about it but he loves his car. He jokingly asked if we could include it in the shoot and I said of course! What’s better than his future bride looking beautiful on the hood of it!

Newport engagement shoots are definitely a favorite of mine. There are just so many great places to shoot!

I love that they started where he proposed, that’s the sweetest. And the 90s album cover is perfect!!! You captured their love and personalities so well.

This is such a sweet engagement post and at the start of such turbulent times in our history. I’m glad you were able to work with the clients and take beautiful photos for them to always remember.
